Typical divisors; carriers may differ. Not a binding quote.
How it works
- Air: L×W×H (cm) ÷ 6000 × qty
- Courier: L×W×H (cm) ÷ 5000 × qty
- LCL: ≈ CBM × 1000 kg
- Chargeable = max(actual kg, volumetric kg)
FAQ
What is volumetric weight?+
A weight equivalent based on package volume, used when cargo is light for its size. Carriers bill the greater of actual and volumetric weight.
What divisor do airlines use?+
A common air freight divisor is 6,000 (cm). Couriers often use 5,000. Always check your carrier.
Does sea LCL use the same formula as air?+
No. LCL often treats 1 CBM as about 1,000 kg of volumetric weight. This tool uses that typical rule of thumb.
